Based on the leveraging our established CSR foundations to date, we will be conscious of sustainability in all aspects of our business activities and strive to realize a sustainable future while maintaining environmental stewardship and local communities.
1. Responsibility to the Environment
As a company that handles chemical substances, we recognize minimizing environmental impact as one of our highest priorities and will promote the following initiatives.

3. Governance and Transparency
To create sustainable value and earn the trust of stakeholders, we will establish a highly transparent governance structure and ensure corporate conduct based on ethics and legal compliance.
- Demonstration of sustainability leadership by management
- Strengthening risk management and internal controls
- Accurate and timely disclosure of information
4. Sustainability Promotion Structure and Continuous Improvement
Toward the realization of a sustainable society, we will fulfill our responsibilities as a company by developing a sustainability promotion structure and pursuing continuous improvement based on the PDCA cycle.
- Establishing a unified promotion system through collaboration with all group locations
- Strengthening alignment with international sustainability standards (e.g., SDGs, TCFD, ISSB)
- Ensuring transparency through goal setting, monitoring progress, and regular reporting
We will share these policies across the entire company and enhance the effectiveness of our sustainability activities to achieve sustainable growth and create social value as a company.
Sustainability Management Structure
To position sustainability promotion as a pillar of management, our group has established a Sustainability Management Council through collaboration between the head office leadership and heads of each location.
This council conducts company-wide sustainability initiatives, including planning, monitoring progress, and sharing policies and directives across departments. Matters decided in the council are handled operationally by the Corporate Management Division for financial aspects and the CSR Promotion Office for non-financial aspects.

Relationship Between the Six Capitals Related to Sustainability (from an ESG perspective) and the Musashi Paint Group’s Key CSR Issues
Sustainability promotion initiatives are primarily driven by ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies, while sustainability is also closely related to the the Six Capitals framework.
By managing and enhancing these six capitals in an integrated manner and incorporating them into our ESG strategy, we aim to drive long-term value creation and improve competitiveness for our group.
To this end, we will define the desired state for each of the six capitals, analyze gaps with the current state, and address identified issues.
Meanwhile, since January 2023, our group has been advancing CSR initiatives, and as shown in the diagram below, these activities are already linked to the six capitals. Therefore, rather than undertaking entirely new initiatives, we will strengthen our management by approaching our current CSR activities from a new perspective.
